Arrived two days after scheduled arrival date. The consultants would not return phone calls regarding the failure of the movers to arrived as scheduled. After several attempts a consultant was reached and stated that the driver would be in contact with us. We did receive a call from an individual who stated that the furniture would be picked up the following morning. However, the mover arrived at approximately 5:00 P.M. rather than in the morning. We eliminated several large pieces of furniture from the original list and were not given any credit (financially) for reducing the amount of weight on the truck. To our knowledge, the truck was never weighed. The consultant initially told us to have a cashiers check for the balance, which we did. However, Nationwide had contracted with an independent company who refused to accept any form of payment except cash, which they demanded prior to unloading (despite the fact that it was Saturday afternoon and the bank was closed). We were forced to go to an ATM and withdraw as much of the balance as possible and after much discussion, they agreed to accept the remainder($103.64) in the form of a personal check.During the process of unloading the furniture, I noticed damage to the foot board of a bed. I was told that it was probably like that when they moved it and there was no insurance to cover damage so we would be responsible for the repairs ourselves. Since then, I have found other damaged items. I have made two attempts to contact a consultant ( Jennifer) since receiving a voice mail message from her regarding my response on Nationwide's survey and as of today I have not received a return call.
