Absurd amount of damage

I'd used Moving Right Along in the past and been a satisfied customer, so I didn't even get any other quotes when I needed to move again. When the crew arrived, I was informed that I would be responsible for any parking tickets the crew received. If I didn't sign to be responsible, they would leave. This should have been told to me in advance and was not. The crew showed up on time and loaded up quickly and efficiently. It was when they got to my new place that the trouble began. After arriving and beginning to unload, they realized that they left my desk in the elevator in my old building! They decided to finish unloading into the basement of my new building, and then go back to my old place to pick up the desk. At this point, they started rushing and tossing furniture around. As the furniture started coming up into my apartment, I noticed that virtually every piece was damaged in some way. By the time they were done, six of the 10 pieces of furniture they moved were damaged in some way. This included the desk that they'd retrieved from the waste disposal area of my old building. They also left dollies full of boxes in the public hallway for extended periods of time, blocking access to my new neighbors' apartments. The "furniture repairman" they sent attempted to fix everything with wood putty and a towel. They repairs he did would not, in my opinion, be acceptable to anyone. The claims manager, Natasha, made herself very difficult to reach. She claimed to never receive a single email I sent to her. Most phone calls to her went unanswered, forcing me to call her repeatedly to get in touch with her. She'd promise to call me back within a day and I'd have to chase her down a week later. It's clear to me that they were hoping I'd get frustrated and go away. I'm still negotiating a settlement with them, and considering a lawsuit.
It's disappointing to receive such poor and unethical service from a company that had been so good to do business with in the past. If enough customers with similar experiences post reviews like this one, perhaps they'll try to do a better job in the future.
