The company did not fulfill their promises. First of all, the estimate that was given did not correspond to the reality. When the movers showed up on the pickup day, a couple items agreed upon were magically "missing" from their inventory list. Additionally, we were charged for the long haul despite the fact that the location of the apartment relative to the elevator was explained to the company before and we agreed that there was not going to be a charge for that ($150).
Secondly. the promised delivery date was not fulfilled. What is even worse is that they did not call us before the delivery as was agreed. According to the contract, the driver was supposed to contact us 24 to 48 hours prior to the delivery. Later, when we called the company to find out why we weren't informed that they were coming down, they said that they'd left multiple messages on my phone 2 days before. Well, they didn't, and if they could not reach me (which they haven't tried), they could have called my husband's cell, which was provided to them.
Two days past the agreed date, we received a call, and the driver said that he "was only 10 minutes away. WTH? I was not at home so we offered them to wait. We were told that they could not wait and would have to come back for re-delivery that would cost $400. They almost took off with our staff before we said we'd call the police.
Lastly, they refused to take our staff up the stairs (one flight) without an additional $150, which again was AGAINST the contract that said that the first flight of stairs was free.
DO NOT EVER USE THEM IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET FOOLED. THIS COMPANY ONLY CARES ABOUT MAKING MONEY ON YOU IN DISHONEST WAYS.
