I picked this moving company because of the great reviews I found online. I had my parents deal with the movers mainly because I had already moved from florida to illinois and my parents were still in florida with all of my stuff. My main qualms with the company is that we specifically chose this company because they GUARANTEED that my stuff would be delivered either on a sunday or monday. Moving on up was the only company that could do this and we paid approx. $300 extra in order to get this guarantee. We stressed how important this was because I could only take one day off work and there was only a small window that I could be at the apartment. They said they understood and PROMISED that the movers would be there on monday at the very latest and I would be one of their first stops to unload (because they are a piggy back company). So they picked it up a week in advance, we constantly kept in contact with them, being assured numerous times that the movers would be on time. So Monday comes and no movers. We call and the driver is in Tennessee. We are then told that the load would not be delivered till Wednesday. Of course, I start freaking out because that's not what was agreed upon. We spoke to a man in the office named Thomas who was not only completely rude, unapologetic, but told my dad to NOT CALL BACK AGAIN and that he was a COMPLAINER. Are you kidding me? Worst customer service ever. My family was constantly lied to, my dad was yelled at by Thomas (who clearly does not know how to deal with people appropriately). BTW my parents are faarrr nicer than I would have been. They are cordial people just trying to get my stuff delivered in a timely manner as PER CONTRACT. Thomas literally laughed when the contract was mentioned.
BE WARNED!! I am now in the position that I still have not received my stuff... and I feel that I do not have any choice but to be quiet until the load is delivered, because otherwise it could be sent back to florida or just sent to the warehouse. Nobody has apologized or been cordial about this. They aren't even giving me that money back for the guarantee that they didn't follow through on. Now I've had to miss more work and it's made this move completely miserable. This company just promises whatever you want to hear with clearly no intention of following through... and you can't do anything about it because they have your stuff. What a SCAM and a headache. We will see if my stuff is broken when it gets here, now that they have driven all over the country with it for almost two weeks.
