I am in the military and had a great experience moving across a couple of states. This time, I was moving my fiance halfway across the country and it was horrible, I mean horrible. I initially talked with Ed and he assured me that their company was better than the others because their quotes are "binding" and I wouldn't pay anything other than what was quoted. When they showed up to my fiance's apartment, they charged us about $300 more because she went over her space limit by 100 square feet!! Yes, 100. I was very angry and called their office and the lady I spoke with (don't remember her name) was very rude and very unhelpful. I finally gave up and decided i was out the money. They finally delivered her things to my apartment a full 4 days after they said they would. The driver arrived in an 18 wheeler, which i didn't know about, and couldn't get into the gate to the front of my apt. He was going to have to charge me for a long carry and for a third floor apartment. I told him Ed already charged me for this and he started to get upset with moving on up and said he would charge me. My fiance and I ended up moving her stuff from the front to our apt with our cars. We basically paid $1200 for them to drive her stuff to my apt. I would never, ever hire a moving company again, let alone Moving On up.
