Worst moving experience ever.

I used the Movedaddy, Greystone location in Birmingham, AL.
Called over a week in advance and scheduled move, and was told that they would see me on my moving date of July 3rd. When they didn't show up, I was told I never confirmed my move. Apparently, they never sent out an email that I was supposed to use to confirm my move. Of course I wasn't told that I'd even be receiving an email, so I assumed them telling me "we'll see you on July 3rd" was my confirmation. At any rate, they sent guys out, eventually got everything loaded, however they ripped a leg off of a dresser and damaged the door of a stainless refrigerator. At first one of the guys lied and said they hadn't touched the dresser, then the other guy admitted to dragging it across the floor causing the damage. When the damage to the fridge was pointed out, we were told that there was no way they could have possibly caused it. Their philosophy is that since we had taken the time to shrink wrap the fridge to avoid scratches, the damage must have existed prior to the move.
I sent numerous emails and made several phone calls, and never received ANY response whatsoever. The only form of response I got was when they responded to the bad reviews I've left.
I followed the link on their website to file a claim, only to find out later that that third party company no longer services claims for MoveDaddy. So basically, the only way to successfully file a claim is if they admit and agree that they caused the damage. Otherwise, they can just ignore you or blame you for the damage, which is what they did in my case.
Do yourself a favor and hire professionals....not these guys.
