I had an overnight move from NYC to the Virginia/DC area. I was contacted by many companies but most low-balled the offers, like $600-$800. These other companies didn't tell me that they would charge extra for anything not said on the phone, and they also didn't tell me that I'd be sharing the truck with other people, and that delivery time might take more than one day. Due to my requirements it had to be an overnight ship.
Mirit Great American was different - they were always honest with me. I dealt with the manager "Nate" on the phone, and he was good. I got my price quote of a relatively expensive $1398, but it was a straight flat fee with no extra crap. And pickup and delivery was guaranteed, right on time. The move went just fine, no damage, no complaints. I paid on delivery, and since it went well I tipped $100 each to the two movers. So total cost from NYC to DC was $1598 including tip for my own truck, flat rate, overnight delivery. Overall excellent experience.
