We received a quote for $474, with 4 hours to move our three level townhouse. We were told that we just had to wrap anything with glass in or on it. When they showed up, they told us that everything had to be wrapped. We were just moving 20 miles down the street! It took them 7 hours to complete everything, and was charged 10 hours. They filled out the revised estimate ($1500) when they got to the place to unload our stuff, they made us sign it and pay for it before they would unload our belongings. We contacted the office and talked with a manager Geane, and she said she would have to see the contract to see what they charged us, she wouldn't take the information over the phone fromthe movers. We didn't have a choice but to sign the paperwork to get them to unload. Then, since paying by credit card, we put in a dispute and the cc company reversed the charges until they heard back from MVL. Of course they sent the paperwork showing that we signed the revised estimate and the charge slip, so the cc company had no choice but to charge us. I hope noone else gets scammed.
