I moved with Metrovanlines about a week ago. They had given me a price of $345.00 for the move... I was only moving 15 minutes up the street. I had a King size bed to break down, lots of ALREADY PACKED boxes, and a kitchen table for them to move.
They do an EXCELLENT job at protecting your furniture, however, they are EXPENSIVE. They entered my house about 10 minutes after they were due, immediately started moving things into truck to begin packing. The man in charge started writing his estimate of how much the move would cost, my husband and I were thinking... ok, no more than 500 bucks... This man gave us a total of 1400 DOLLARS! That is 1000 MORE than what we were told. I'm still lost as to where my money went. There are a lot of hidden fees with this company. They charged me 81 bucks for tape, 125 for gas, I cant even remember the other amount for boxes, shrink wrap (they pack glass and mattresses in these). The way they get you is they say "things must be protected according to their standards".
I'm not too sure if i'll be using them again. After I paid 1400 dollars, they left 40 minutes early, and left all my items in the garage. They came at 210pm and left at 620pm.
