I usually do not write reviews in dealing with companies.. however I felt the need to alert the public on this moving company. Metro Van Lines Inc. out of Pembroke Park Florida will assure you your move will be "stress free" and "smooth". When you first contact them they are very helpful and accommodating until you pay them. On the day of pick the movers showed up wearing no uniforms but wife beater t-shirts and indicated that they need an additional $500.00 in cash for the move. They also were requesting tips a half dozen times. Once our belongings were gone... Amanda indicated we would now have to contact the driver Jose as she was done with us. Jose would not answer his cell phone and you could not leave a message due to his mailbox being full. Amanda could not tell us where Jose is at on the rode but he is probably in an area that has no reception. Amanda did call on July 27th indicating we owed an additional $386 dollars due to the extra space we used on the truck and if she did not have it by 6:00 that night (due to her leaving the office at 6:00) our belongings would not be dropped off by the driver. The driver did not show up until July 31st. In looking thru the furniture a number of items were destroyed.. we have yet to file a claim. After payment Amanda will not take the time to talk to you.. she will talk over you and she will also say she doesn't "have time" because she is too busy with other customers and she leaves the office by 6:00. Do not use this moving company... I wish I would have done alot more research. Also do not believe the time frame they indicate. On their website Midwest delivery time is 7-14 business days ours took 19 days.
