Really our belongings are loaded on the truck and the owner says, unload or his staff is fired….really and yes this is a true story 11-23-14.
We advised Mike that the truck that came did not have enough room for all of our stuff. They wanted to place the articles that would not fit on the outside of the truck. We tried to explain to Mike that was not what we were told, that I would all be placed on one truck. Mike became so irate and said he would have his people unload the truck and we could find another company. I told Mike this was is fing bs and exactly what his company had told us that would never happen, this type of thing happens with this competition…
Mike told us we had 10 min to call him back or the truck would be unloaded, he had a second truck enroute, that he was going to hang up. As I was calling him back, within the minute, he was calling the foreman and telling him to unload our stuff. I called him twice and he would not return my call, he was at a party and did not want to be disturbed. The manner in which he spoke to us was heard by the Manchester foreman and he could not believe the manner he spoke to us.
He told his foreman if they did not unload the truck and unwrap the furniture they would be fired…..what a nice guy. The Manchester foreman and crew are to be commended for their efforts and feelings towards my wife. They went above and beyond the call of duty to assist. The truck was 80% loaded.
He text me back over an hour later stating “ Sorry Dan, you will need to find another mover. I will forgo any money coming to me for packing and the packing supplies. Best of luvk. Sorry it didn’t work out”. He never refunded my deposit as he said he would, but did get refunded by the bank.
Now this is from the owner of Manchester…..unbelievable….don’t use them ever….. Colin is great but works for an out of control owner.
