It rained the morning of my move but stopped about 10. If the movers had told me then that they were going to cancel, I would have rented a UHAUL or not wasted my day waiting for them. Instead they called at 3 (my scheduled time) and said they would be there by 5. They called me at 6:30 and said they weren't coming and that they were so behind because of the rain.
So, I spent more $ to stay in my apt another night. They showed up and took 3 1/2 hrs to move a 1 bedroom apt (and I had already moved several boxes, my bed, and my clothes). They "got lost" on the way to my new place. They BROKE my glass coffee table and said insurance was 60 cents per pound...so I would maybe get 60 cents for it. They slammed my furniture into the doors, onto the stairs, etc when moving and just placed boxes along the walls of my new place. And when it came time to pay they wanted CASH. They gave me SEVERAL excuses as to why they wanted cash, none believable. So they said I could pay $100 of it cash and write a check for the rest. And then they claimed there was a 10 ft rule--because they had to move more than 10 ft, that was 20% extra; for every flight of stairs it was 15% extra...but they would "waive" those fees if I paid cash. Keep in mind only the 15% fee was quoted in the contract and I was told it would be 15% total--not 15% for the stairs at my new place and 15% for the stairs at my new place.
So, they quoted me $166 and I went with them cause they were the cheapest. It ended up costing me $275 ($100 in cash) and a completely wasted day. The website has pictures of moving trucks and looks decent. They showed up in a regular truck with a trailer behind it. This is the absolute worse moving experience of my life. DO NOT USE THEM UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR STUFF BROKEN AND TO BE COMPLETELY RIPPED OFF!
