The moving company claimed they picked up 1600 cf. When the items arrived I looked at the moving truck. Based on the lines inside the truck indicating cubic feet, my items were barely more then 1100 cf. I sent several letters to the company in this regard. They have failed to respond. The company is defrauding me of over $1000. Several of my belongings were damaged. I provided notice of this to the mover. They have failed to respond. This company does business under the name of Straight Forward Moving. They are pleasant to deal with up to the point you get a quote. Once it is handed over to the real company Moving Cross Country, Inc. The fraud and misinformation begins. I have filed a complaint of fraud with the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration. I hope this company is put out of business and they are penalized for their fraud. I have also filed complaints with the State Attorney Generals in New Jersey, Maryland, and Missouri. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH STRAIGHT FORWARD MOVING/ MOVING CROSS COUNTRY, INC. YOU WILL REGRET IT. IF YOU HAVE TO PAY MORE WITH ANOTHER COMPANY THAT IS WELL RECOGNIZED IT IS WELL WORTH IT.
