Low Country Van Lines is a gang of low life thugs. I am 71 years old and if its the last thing I ever do I will expose these scammers From Low country. There scams goes like this. I filled out a request online for quotes and they call me as well as a few other movers. They give me a great sounding quote and then proceed to tell me about their stellar credentials like being BBB accredited and members of AMSA. They stress that I should beware of rogue movers and low ball quotes and how they use hidden fees and deceptive practices to raise the estimate price drastically. I feel lucky to find these guys and choose them. Ok so move day comes and no call no show. I call the toll free number nad get no answer and leave a voicemail. Hour later nothing so I call frantically and finally get thru after calling for hours. The dispatcher tells me sorry wont make it today it will be tommorow I was disturbed but said OK I can do that but why no call. The dispatcher says sorry the driver must have forgot. HMMM ok I am suspect but mistakes do happen so moving forward. The next day comes and they arrive in a beat up looking 20 ft truck with bald tires and no markings. The 2 " movers" speak horrid english but they get to work quickly. After loading 3 quarters of my goods the mover tells me it look like more alot more. Now keep in mind for my estimate I gave an exact count of boxes and furniture pieces with a guarantee of a flat binding rate. So I say how come and he sais my pieces are big. I ask how much he sais we will see dont worry I take care of you your a sweet lady. Well after they getting everything loaded minus my glass top table they broke which is another story but I finall get a new bill from them. My original estimate went from $1450 to $2425. I asked the driver how this happen and he blames the sales rep and sais I should tip him for doing a great job and saving me money on the bill by packing the goods tight. At a loss and tired and confused I cave in and agree. These guys took three weeks to deliver to north carolina from florida and all my furniture had depp gouges in the wood. I called to complain to my rep and now he is never there and they pass me on too a customer service girl that gives me the run around about filing a claim. I went to the BBB to see if they can help and it turns out Low Country Van Lines is Not ACCREDITED BY THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU in their Dania Location only there SAouth Carolina location is which does no business. Basically they use the South Carolina BBB report to get you confident to book your move and if somehting goes wrong they direct your complaint to their Dania Beach Office. I had a family member check their Dania office and there was nothing there. I think these guys change locations to avoid having to face their victims. Low Country Van Lines you are disgusting and your day will come.
From,
A pissed off senior
