This is the single worst company I have ever worked for in any capacity. I worked in customer service and Human Resources for 11 years, and if I ever treated a customer the way they treated me, I would have been fired several times.
We were initially pleased with the salesman, and the quote was very good for a 900 mile move (Long Island to a suburb of Chicago) - $8,800. We felt confident in their ability to accomplish the move. By the end of everything, we realized how foolish we were.
We paid for a full pack, but the office told our packers it was a half pack. So they did not bring enough materials, and were annoyed at how much there was to do. After clearing that up, and having someone bring extra materials, the packing resumed - although on the same day as the move, which did not make sense. The truck crew was great, but as they are outsourced and not employed by Liberty, that is why. They were annoyed that our salesman did not fully explain certain things to us, i.e. our pool table slates needed to be crated. So we had to pay extra for something we would have taken care of ourselves. But the truck crew kept in good spirits, and made the day manageable.
The office communication is horrendous. Tami, our move coordinator, was not available when she said she'd be, and after telling me I could contact her all day on our move day if there were any problems, she then was off that day and never said anything. I was pleased that the person I did speak to that day was shocked that Tami did not tell me she'd be out.
We were pleased that the delivery crew arrived much sooner than expected given our 1 week time frame, but then were completely shocked when they told us they only had about 75% of our stuff. They were just as shocked that we didn't know that ahead of time. I called Tami immediately and asked why we weren't told of this, and her answer was that she was out of the office and couldn't tell me! Unbelievable that she didn't ask someone else to make that call.
Then the second delivery was supposed to come 2 days later, which turned into 5 days later, then that afternoon, then the next morning. So our complete delivery was not finished until 2 weeks after pickup. And our anger only reached even higher when we discovered a broken computer desk, broken vintage model car, and furniture that was not put back together (which is part of the contract). We decided to not even call about any of this, as we just didn't feel like dealing with them anymore. We paid, we received everything (albeit not in its original shape), and we were just done.
Shame on you Liberty. We will never work with you again, and we will go out of our way to make sure everyone we know does not use you.
