I strongly recommend you not to acquire Lehigh Moving as your moving company. I acquired it to move my shipment from TX, USA to Hong Kong but I had had a terribly bad experience on it. Here is the some highlights: 1) Pickup not shown up on schedule (supposed on May 26-28, 2005), but actually picken up on early June 2) Initially charged me for around USD 2100, but, after picken up my shipment, it asked for few hundred dollars more OR withhold my shipment 3) Quoted volume: around 210 cu. ft. After picken up my shipment, the staff told me the volume was 269 cu. ft. However, I later got a shipment document from one of its silbling contractors that the total volume sent to vassel was around 156 cu. ft. Since the charge was calculated based on the shipment volume, I have not overcharged for more than USD 1000 ..... 4) The staff told me that I paid in Hong Kong for terminal costs no more than USD 50. However, I eventually paid for more than USD 150 (after negiotition with the local contractor). The staff at Lehigh argued that it was taxes and hence no violation to the service order. However, the terminal fees were charged by terminal agencies not government (as confirmed with the immigration dept.). Clearly, the fees were not taxes!!! 5) My complaint to Lehigh Moving was not well received. The staff did not actually respond nor entertain my complaint. As above, the terminal charges were argued as taxes ... in an illogical manner... When I asked for compensation, no response for long and eventually reply. She simply asked me to file a claim to ClaimManagement!!! 6) My shipment was arrived to Hong Kong in early Sept. 2005 taking about 3 months to deliver. That is longer than what the company has claimed -- 6-8 weeks. To summarize, I conclude that Lehigh Moving is an irresponsible company providing service not qualified to its claimed service standard and cheating customers so as to acquire shipment costs MUCH more than deserved. To prevent it from cheating customers and producing more victims (I am not the only one, http://www.transportreviews.com/review/00001603.asp), Lehigh Moving should CLOSE DOWN as soon as possible!!!!!!! PS: If anyone needs more information, please reply it or ask the web site moderator to forward your requests to me. I am eager to coordinate all other victims to fight against this company for our rights. Our consumer rights are deserved, but not a junk company like Lehigh Moving...
