Poor Service From King Van Lines

*Comments: I would like to add a review for King Van Lines. I was extremely disappointed in their service. First, I booked out about a month in advance and a couple days prior to scheduled pick-up they called and stated they could not be there until the following day. I had no choice but to wait as now I did not have time to schedule the move with another company. This cost me numerous hassles as I had to be out of my apartment and was planning to close on my new home. This delay cost me a penalty in my closing costs because of the one day delay not to mention additional motel bills. In addition, I was told I would be able to be at the truck weigh station to see the weight of the vehicle prior to loading, but instead the driver showed up at my house (late of course) with the supposed weight of the truck already done. I was also told I would be given the delivery date at time of pickup, but did not get this information as well. Of course the price charged was over $1000.00 the quoted price as well. I received an illegible receipt. The movers also damaged a closet door during the move. I left multiple messages with the customer service people (all calls went un-returned). The delivery was just as awful. Only one guy showed up and tried to unload everything. I had no choice but to help unload as he was about to cause damage to my house trying to move a couch and mattress by himself. To top it all off, multiple items were damaged including a new dining table and chairs, freezer, and mattress frame. I would not let this company take out my garbage, let alone move my stuff again. Everything thing bad that you here about movers applies to this move. I could not be more dissatisfied with this company. !
