King Vanlines showed up 4 hrs late with a hand written sign taped to the truck door-first red flag. They were to pack and transport our 6 room home. They dropped my new couch in the driveway, broke the leg and told me it is just fine. They failed to use enough packing materials and several glass and household itmes were broken. Artwork not properly packed, computer, antique piano and artwork destroyed. My 9 year olds bike was missing. They delivered 2 days early while we were in Lake Taho getting married, blamed me for the failed schedule, dropped off our entire home in a remote storage facility and guaranteed me it would be airconditioned since it was about 113 degrees in Arizona at the time. They did not estimate my household properly then during the packing quoted us 2000.00 more for the move. They were not able to fit the entire home in their truck and said they would be back in 2 days to pick up the rest of the household. We ended up storing the remainder of the house at our additional expense. It has been 11 months now and still no show. I disputed a percentage of my moving costs with my credit card company. After several months of communication between us and King Vanlines the cc company credited my account. Now King Vanlines has sent me to collection for the balance due on an incomplete move. Transworld collection co is now attempting to collect on the debt they purchased from King Vanlines who has sent me a contract for me to pay them under the table and not to worry about the collection agency. This would also be FRAUD. Every aspect of our move was stressful and unprofessional but still the driver ASKED me for a tip so they could have lunch on the way back to California. This has taken time from my family, cost us additional money, my child devasted due to her bike missing and absulutely no communication to resolve this matter from King Vanlines until my credit card company took away a portion of their fees from my charge account! Lets not overlook the fact that I was forced to hire an additional moving company at $1000.00 to move me from the storage faciltiy into my home.
