My experience with Interstate Movers was terrible from start to finish. They lied to me about having their own employees, trucks, and warehouses. The men who packed my things did a terrible job and told me they were recent hires with no training. So many items were broken or damaged, including plates, glasses, vases, a leg off a cedar chest, desk torn apart, hole in the side of my bookshelf, chip on an end table... and the list goes on. Also several items were lost or stolen and I have yet to receive them. The company ended up charging me DOUBLE of what the original quote stated and held my items hostage until I would agree to pay. I was completely taken advantage of in a very stressful time. The company clearly knew what they were doing and it seemed to be part of their normal operation to perform in this manner, misleading their customers and gouging them for money, knowing they don't have time to find another moving company. I will never use this company again and would NEVER tell anyone else to use them. It has been a horrible experience. I have not yet received any compensation for the lost and damaged items and don't have much hope that I ever will.
