This carrier was dishonest throughout the entire process.
During the quote process, I was assured that the quote would be conservative and would cover more than enough for my move (this was done by phone). The quote agent also repeatedly told me that my freight would be hauled by their fleet - on their trucks by their own employees. The pickup carrier was a subcontractor who did not understand the contract, although they did provide good service. When I asked about confirming the delivery date, they informed me that my freight would be hauled cross-country by another carrier, then picked up by a third carrier for delivery - none of which were Infinity Moving.
Upon pickup, the carrier revised their estimate by $400 because I had more items than what was on the original quote. I signed off on this increase.
Mutliple times I was supposed to get a call back from Infinity to address the subcontractor and quote revision issue as well as confirm delivery date. Infinity would not return my calls.
Finally when I reached Infinity, they told me they could not guarantee a delivery date; in fact, they could not tell me where my property was. They also told me that they were going to charge me an additional $1000 in the final payment due because there was extra weight than originally quoted. I told them I refuse to pay this increase, and they told me I had to.
When I researched my rights about the 110% rule, I called them back again to tell them I demanded to know where my freight was, and that I was going to exercise my rights under the 110% rule.
As a result, my property arrived 10 days late, but was delivered by a great moving subcontractor. There was minimal damage, and I paid 110% of the original quote per the law.
I will never use Infinity Moving again, and I will do my best effort to warn people of their unethical (and I view potentially illegal) business practices.
