Unreliable, dishonest and incompetent

Infinity Moving and Storage

WARNING! Disorganized, untrustworthy and unprofessional. We had a terrible experience with Infinity Moving. They made mistakes and were dishonest throughout the process. Just to give you a sample of what went wrong with our move:
- They dramatically misquoted us: We were provided with a quote over the phone when we first engaged Infinity Movers, and paid the deposit accordingly. When the movers arrived at our house to pack and load, they informed us that this was a misquote, and that it would be an extra $400-$600. When the movers arrived to deliver our items to our new place, we were informed that we were required to pay an extra $1000. We had no choice, because they had all of our things and refused to unload until we paid. In the end, we paid approximately twice as much as was initially quoted to us.
- They promised 3-4 movers, but only provided 2. This meant that the packing and loading of the truck took twice as long.
- They broke and ruined many things: expensive dishes (that were wedding presents) were broken, and books were crushed or ruined.
- They lost things: They lost my bike, and though they were able to located it, it took almost two weeks to deliver it from a nearby storage facility (only after I called and yelled at them several times). Once I received it, one of the brakes had been broken.
- They packed things carelessly: They stuffed fragile goods like our printer and flat screen TV on their sides or up against sharp objects and they tossed books and other goods into boxes on their sides or diagonally. Few items survived the move undamaged...
Note that the customer service representatives are very charming. They were very sweet and made lots of promises when we first engaged their services, all of which were ultimately broken. I would not believe anything that they say!
There are plenty of movers in the industry - don't bother with these guys. They are incompetent, irresponsible and untrustworthy.
