I have had an extremely negative experience with household van lines, multiple things went wrong. They came a day early, charged for 60 dollars of tape when I packed the boxes myself, charged for packing an item that did not get packed, an 8%fuel surcharge, overestimation of sq foot (over 250 error), and some damaged items and boxes, along with one missing box. I would expect some damaged items with any move, but the company has not responded to two separate emails over the past two weeks, the customer service is terrible. On a positive note, the movers themselves worked very hard and were pleasant, and the damage to boxes were more from heat than from banged around. But the company lures you in with a cheaper offer than other companies, takes a deposit, and on the day of pickup what am I supposed to do but go with the higher price or loose 500 bucks deposit! Original quote 2300, new price 3100$
