Worst moving experience ever. When discussing move with sales person I was told that move could take up to 21 days. I needed for my stuff to arrive 9/1 so I asked the best date for a pick up - then moved the date back a few days, allowing for 22 days to deliver. At pick up the movers said that they had a two week window past the designated deliver date to deliver the possessions. They also said the move would cost $400 move than the maximum I was quoted by the salesman (with an inventory list provided!) I told my husband to cancel the service but he talked with the guys and they assured him that our stuff would be delivered on time. In actuality we did not have our stuff delivered until 5 days after the 1st. No one would respond to our questions about where our possessions were or when we would get them. At one point the driver told us that the truck broke down and that he was waiting to get it fixed but that he was 2 hours away from our destination. The next day we were told by the driver that our possessions had been put on another truck and we should get them that day. We called the drivers dispatch and she said that our stuff was with the truck in the mechanics garage and that it would be at least 2 days before it was delivered. I asked where it was thinking, since it was 2 hours away, I would go get it, and she refused to tell me the whereabouts of our stuff and said that even if we showed up where the truck was they would refuse to give it to us. The next day I called Hercules to see where our stuff was and after 7 hours and countless phone calls, they could not tell me where my stuff was, who the driver was or when it might be delivered. They actually didn't know that the original driver was no longer with the load. When our delivery was made they brought the full size 18 wheeler truck down a small residential street - after we had paid an extra $300 for a shuttle to a smaller truck. The movers broke three pieces of furniture and countless articles within the boxes. They also failed to deliver 3 large boxes - one of which contained $1,500+ in winter coats, outerwear and clothes. They also "lost" a step ladder. The company didn't ever respond to emails about how to file a claim or to calls about where our "lost" possessions were. I have filed a claim and intend to file an additional claim with the better business bureau - although this company is not a member.
