This was a nightmare from the moment the movers arrived. Their "binding" quote means nothing even though I was honest about all and if anything went over than under on my inventory! After my things were loaded, I was told I had to pay more than 2x more! My binding quote was for $2150.00 and my final amount paying them ended up to be $4385.00! OUTRAGEOUS!! I had told them ahead of time that I would need special packaging for a Grandfather Clock. I paid hundreds of dollars for CRATING! That means WOOD. The mover bubble wrapped it and cut up cardboard boxes and taped it around it! THAT IS NOT CRATING! Also, I told them ahead of time that I had a canoe. I paid hundreds extra for that to be moved because they said I had to pay for all the space that it took up in their truck and they couldn't use the space above or below it. That was a lie. It had a new $200.00 zipped cover (with the canoe in it) and the cover was ripped badly in several places - HUGE rips - and when it arrived, stuff was all over it in their truck! Also, when the movers first arrived for pickup, my things were already in boxes - moving boxes that I had used over and over again - or bins that I had purchased. The movers told me that they had to box my things into their BIG boxes and I was going to pay for those BIG boxes too. The movers put a plastic bin with papers in it on the bottom of one box and piled suitcases on top! The whole bin was crushed upon arrival. One box had a bowling ball hole in the side of it - things missing - looks like bathroom supplies are gone with some tops/lids stuck to their endless cheap tape. What they do is use really cheap tape and use so much of it that it appears your things are secure but EVERYTHING arrived dirty, chipped, and broken - or missing! I paid for "professional movers" to take my things carefully, let me know where they are (like a babysitter) - they are still MY things - and move them. After the sales people convinced me that they are a great company, it all goes down hill from there quickly. The sales people can't help you after you sign up because they have no idea what goes on after they get you. Dispatch had no idea where my things were most of the time until I got so upset after a week of that I had to call the police. The police asked me to write them a certified letter demanding my things within 10 days from receipt of the letter! The movers arrived 15 days after pickup! I had to track my own things down! I paid for movers to take care of my things. I have moved 12 times in my life with professional movers. This was by far the worst move ever and I don't believe these people should still be in business doing this over and over to people again and again. It has to stop NOW!
