This is my first time writing a review for a moving company and I have to say I was more than pleased with my experience with H2H Movers. Thankfully, I got squeezed in last minute a few days after New Year's. They were 10 minutes early (my appointment was at 8am), unbelievably fast and professional.
I was quoted for $700 (not including the gas and surcharges that were necessary) and it would be estimated as a 7 hour job for 4 movers since I was moving 2 storage units, one 15 x 20 and one 10 x 10. All of my furniture sets (dining sets, tables, chairs, couches, grandfather clock, armoires, 5 foot vases, cabinets, decorative housewares (some fragile some very heavy) about 100 boxes, etc) came from another house we used to own so we had a LOT of things to move.
The 4 gentleman that came to do the job were so professional and effective as a team. Paul and Sasha were the names I remembered. They were FAST. I'm talking, record-timing fast. They did NOT rush the job at all, took their time with my belongings, used good body mechanics so they are not hurting themselves or dropping my stuff. Nothing was damaged or broken. They did not have a difficult time with anything as they brought their own equipment to move my large, heavy pieces of furniture. They also stacked everything neatly and efficiently and got done by about 12:30pm.
When I first was greeted by them, I was slightly worried as they were just average looking Ukranian men, not big or burly by any means. I was used to having bigger, very sturdy looking gentleman move my furniture. (I've had a few moves from different locations in my lifetime) Since most of my furniture is large and heavy, it was a concern of mine but they all turned out to be very strong and had a lot of common sense when it came to moving heavy objects in the most efficient way possible. This was the first time in any move I had that NOTHING was dropped or broken. So NEVER judge a book by it's cover!
And my final total was $544 for 4.5 hours plus the gas. I saved so much money and not to mention time!!! I won't ever need to even think about another company (unless H2H Movers decides not to do business anymore) again and they are VERY recommended to anyone that asks.
