The movers picked up our stuff 7 hours late. Although I'm happy with the quality of their work , the lead mover was very rude. Was trying to negotiate the tip the whole time instead of focusing on the job. Was planning to give a very good tip as I always do but was very turned off so only gave $80 per person. This was in June. Now we are moved in to our new house in Arizona so I ordered for our things to be delivered. Tried to get it delivered a day after our closing which was on September 23. Gave them 1 month notice but was told we could not get a delivery until September 29 or the 1st of October around noon at the latest. Supposedly, we are the first stop and the driver left New Jersey September 18. Got a call from the driver that they will be coming on the 30th. Got a call again that they are still far so they will not be here until October 1 around lunch time. I call the driver this morning , (October 1) to give them exact directions and they said they won't make it until 5 or 6 tonight. Come 4:00 PM I get a call and just got told that they won't make it until tomorrow sometime. Tried to get an explanation why my delivery keeps getting delayed and got no explanation. Obviously, I was upset and was pressing on the issue but got no explanation but a click and dead tone. Is this how you do business? I've used Allied movers before and was very happy with them, now I'm beginning to think that we should have just kept Allied. My husband and I decided to use Great American Van Lines in New Jersey because of the great reviews we read. Wondering if the good reviews are real or posted by their own employees.
