I am extremely picky when it comes to selecting vendors to help me with anything in life, especially movers. I have very high expectations, and I can say that Great American Moving & Storage definitely met my expectations. Starting with my initial conversations with Fernando, I could tell they were top of their game. He was extremely responsive, and he offered to visit my apartment to provide a "not to exceed" estimate. He was very professional and even gave me information & brochures on donation centers for items that I didn't want to move, as well as a postal mail forwarding card. He suggested that I purchase a parking permit on my street to make sure we had enough spots blocked off for my move (since I lived on a narrow street). Although it cost me $150 for this parking permit through the local police station, it was well worth the money and I commend Fernando for suggesting this. The move would've taken even longer if we hadn't reserved parking right outside my building.
On moving day, the movers showed up right on time, ready to work. They did a full packing job, and they showed up with all the right packing materials. They worked hard the entire day with packing & moving. We bought them lunch to keep them energized, which I could tell they appreciated. They successfully moved my belongings, and they were pleasant to be around. We gave them a nice tip to show our appreciation.
We're still unpacking boxes, so it's too soon to tell if everything arrived unbroken, but all our furniture looks in tact and in good condition. If you're looking for a reliable, professional moving company, I'd highly recommend Great American Moving & Storage
