On September 2, 2010, I used the services of Georgetown Moving and Storage. After the delivery, I noticed my leather couch was damaged. I contacted the company office and Jason informed me that Jim would contact me shortly - that he would come out and inspect the damage. Two weeks passed and I heard nothing. I made several attempts to contact Jim and to no availability. Finally Jim called me back and apologized for not returning my call in a timely manner. I told him that it was unprofessional and unacceptable service. Jim became upset and said he didn't have to come out and view my damaged couch and that he could just send me $20. The conversation ended.
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and told them about this horrible experience. Of course, they contacted Jim and Georgetown Moving and Storage comany. Because of this, information that was not provided about valuation on their website - suddenly appeared on their website after I contacted BBB.
It's been two months and though Jim and the company quote that they have valuation coverage. I have yet to receive anything related to the 60 cents per lb. No letter in the mail, no check for $20, nothing.
I am absolutely disgusted by the customer service and professionalism of Jim at Georgetown Moving and Storage.
I would never ever refer them to anyone. And any chance I get, I'd like to share this experience with people.
