This summer my husband and I moved from Las Vegas NV to Lexington KY for his job. I chose G&G Best Moving and Transportation because they had great reviews online and quoted me a good price… it turned out to be a bad decision.
The Quote: I talked to Natali, who gave me my initial quote. I told her that we were moving from a two-bedroom apartment and described the amount of furniture and boxes that we had. She quoted me $1800 for our move including pick up, storage and drop off.
Pick up: Scheduled for June 15th. Fernando was our pick up driver and he was great, very friendly, polite and helpful. He was shocked when he arrived at the amount of stuff that we had. He said that Natali had grossly under estimated how much space we would need. It ended up being 750 sq ft instead of the 450 she had planned. I believe this was Natali’s fault because I gave her a good description of our belongings. It ended up costing $3000 instead of $1800…
The wait: Things went from bad to worse. Natali promised me that they would deliver our stuff NO LATER then JUNE 28th. June 28th came and I called the company, I was told that the truck with our stuff on it would be leaving Los Angeles on July 1st. So Natali lied… I was told I would receive a call on July 1st that would give me a delivery date and time.
The horror continues: I did not get the call on July 1st, so I called them on the 2nd and left a message. They returned my call on July 4th. They said that the truck broke down and had not left Los Angeles yet. Apparently they felt no need to call and inform me of this. This started a series of phone calls on my part and empty promises on theirs. Every time I called to inquire about our move I was promised that I would get a call on a certain day with delivery date and time. I would wait until at least the day after the promised call and then call them again. This happened 4 times! They didn’t give me updates, I had to harass them to get any information on my move.
Delivery FINALLY! Our stuff was delivered on JULY 20th! Remember I was promised at the time of the quote that I would get my stuff NO LATER THEN JUNE 28th. So this was unacceptable to me. They had picked up our stuff on June 15th! I read the contract the time frame I waited was within their allowed delivery time. However I found it to be completely unacceptable that I was misled and then neglected so many times. They do not care about their customers at all, they were rude to me on the phone. Alex was especially rude and inconsiderate.
Summary: DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY! THEY HAVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WE RECEIVED OUR STUFF ALMOST A MONTH AFTER IT WAS PROMISSED.
