Flatrate Moving

Flat rate was supposed to move my furniture from SF to NYC. I had a one of a kind lamp that they accidentally delivered to Texas. It sat for weeks in Texas supposedly waiting for Flat rate to come get it. Supposedly the day before the mover showed up, Fedex came and picked it up. It was delivered broken. Although I bought insurance, Flat rate's decision to send it via Fed Ex and to leave it for weeks at someone's place in Texas means that my insurance won't cover the damage. They refuse to answer my emails and through the Better Business Bureau claim they need "proof of value" but they won't clarify what that means (its a heirloom so their is no receipt) and refuse to respond to any further emails from BBB or myself. Keith was the rep who screwed up with Fed Ex and Alex is the manager who refuses to email a response. BEWARE of this company!!!!
