This company has the nerve to call themselves "Flat Rate" when they are anything but. They subcontracted my local move (four blocks away) to another company, which is apparently how they operate. They tell you that it will cost $X per hour and state that they may have to use moving supplies to assist in your move. Then, once you sign the contract on the day of your move, they proceed to pack and re-pack everything and charge you for it. Need to cover your furniture in blankets, you get charged for that. The tape to hold the blankets, a charge for that. Clothing on hangers, better have them in a wardrobe box or else. They won't move what they consider improperly packed, and that appeared to be everything I packed myself. Not only did they charge for all these extra items, but all that extra packing takes time and adds even more to your total. It took seven hours to move four blocks away from my old one bedroom apartment. Don't want to pay their fees for added materials, fine, they won't move that item. They have you over a barrel, which, if they actually had one, they would charge you for using it. Avoid at all costs.
