This was the 4th move I have done in the past 7 years using 4 different moving companies each time due to the usual rudeness, bullshit excuses, and etc. Each time I got ripped off, I thought I knew what I had done wrong to prevent it from happening again but I was wrong time and time again.
When I submitted for a quote during my last move, I received a call from a very nice gentleman by the name of Steve Sanders. He was absolutely amazing, especially when we got to talking and he explained that the discount offered by the moving companies is just an inadvertent way of pulling more money from their customers during the pickup of their stuff. He said that the discount gives you a temporarily low price until you exceed your weight at which time they charge you the MUCH HIGHER per lb price making the move A LOT more expensive then you would have ever expected.
He convinced me and I decided to book with him. Thank God! My weight did exceed my estimate bringing the amount from the initial $5600 to $6500. This was completely acceptable due to the factual weight being significantly more then I figured. Oren dropped the rate straight down from $6500 to $6000. That was it! Nothing bad happened! Nothing went wrong! I'm shocked and amazed!
You have to understand that something always happens, I've used Allied Vanlines, Prestige Vanlines and Mayflower, and each and every time I trust their moving consultants, they screwed me over.
I have never written a review for anything! The fact is that the guys at Flat Price Moving & Storage deserve every bit of praise for their effort and I just had to put the word out about them. Their prices are great, their staff is really nice and they are honest. That's a rare find with movers and there is no greater value than the honesty of someone whom you are dearly relying on.
Bottom line:
AMAZING COMPANY, PROBABLY THE ONLY TRULY HONEST COMPANY IN THE MOVING BUSINESS.
If it's too good to be true, don't buy into it, you will get ripped off. These guys have really good prices starting at the minimum carrier rate of $1000 for most moves. Anything below $1000, regardless of where the move is from and where it's going, should be immediately discarded.
In short: Flat Price Moving & Storage is an honest and decent Direct Mover which is a carrier, I think. Anyway, without a doubt, they have my vote for the best mover in the U.S. I'll definitely be using them again and referring them to anyone who requires their services. Of course naturally, Mr. Steve Sanders will get my referrals due to his exceptional above and beyond the call of duty work ethics and his help throughout my entire move, but I imagine their staff is just as honest. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, ask for Oren as your Foreman, if he is available. He's really cool and the dude is super professional and pleasant. Thanks Flat Price Moving & Storage, you really helped me out and deserve an award, if there was such a thing!
