I moved from Michigan to Texas back home due to my mother needing my help because she was not doing well. I needed to get home with all the belongings. Originally the lady I dealt with acted like she was new and kept having to ask questions to a so called supervisor behind her. I should of bailed then. Took 2 weeks to get a truck to me. Originally the quote was completely wrong due to the salesperson not adding the items we discussed I had. I called and had them correct it so I would have any surprises. The guy I spoke with just adjusted the weight not the price so it didn't change it. I was never told This was a moving broker. I didn't even know they existed. I read my agreements and figured this out. This was the most horrible experience I have ever had. I could of found this guy to move me instead of paying First Call Movers over 900.00 to do it. They promised a month free storage, damage free, and a timely move. I got none of these. The movers came an Escalade pulling a trailer and my items barely fit. I had to leave behind several items to fit everything. The mover new nothing of the storage facility or free month of storage and agreed to let me keep my stuff at his facility until I was ready for it. I paid him 3 checks of 1400 dollars. When the stuff arrived I had damaged and broken items, broken items, some of which can never be replaced and crushed boxed. I am not even sure everything is there. I was so devastated by the condition of my belongings. First Call Movers is a scam. They lie and skate around the truth. They are definitely crooks, cons or anything of that sort of nature. If they would at least refund their part of the money I might have some sort of respect for them at least trying to accommodate what I went through. They wont even hear of it. I cant get a response from anyone. NO return phone calls or emails. I keep trying to contact them but still nothing. The original email of the salesperson isnt even good anymore. PLEASE don't ever deal with these people. I would hate for anyone to have to go through this also
