Very bad experience

Enterprise Relocation

My roommate Adam and I had high expectations for the move. We understood Enterprise to be a respectable and reliable moving company. While our belongings were shipped and delivered safely, we found the situation to be very badly handled. We were informed on Friday, July 31, 2009 that our move was being shifted to Sunday. If we could have been notified even a day earlier, many headaches could have been prevented. The movers did not arrive until approximately 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2. This did not give us ample time to unpack our belongings in preparation for work on Monday morning; we are both AmeriCorps members and we each started new jobs on Monday feeling unorganized and stressed, in no small part due to the delayed move and the events of the weekend. In addition, both of our parents were forced to take time off of work on Friday, July 31, since that was the day that the movers were scheduled to pick up our possessions in Buffalo. To make matters worse, calls were repeatedly not returned to us or our parents. Various excuses for the delay were given, ranging from a "Jewish holiday" to the moving truck breaking down.
We were promised a discount of at least $100 (which we felt is a weak compromise)due to the circumstances. As of my writing this, we have yet to receive this refund.
