DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! We used Elite in Oct. 2011 for a mere 7 mi. move. From the start Ron Cotton was helpful and I felt confident with using Elite. The problem with our move was we were promised our furniture would stay on the original moving truck(we supervised the packing for 5 hours) for 2 days at an additional cost of $400. When Elite came to deliver our things first they arrived about 4 in the afternoon(promised at noon) and they were driving an ENTERPRISE rental truck, not the Elite truck originally packed. Obviously our furniture & boxes were repacked into the ENTERPRISE rental truck without much care or planning. We were shocked to say the least & just wanted our stuff. Because we were having new carpets laid upstairs that week we had the movers deliver everything to the main floor and basement. It was tight and we did not really see the damage the move caused to our furniture until after we moved it in place. Our beautiful newer bedroom set was ruined! Not one drawer or cabinet closes without force. Dings dents & gauges everywhere. Two dining room chairs cracked. Sectional couch damaged. Not to mention a box of my son's winter clothes never even made the move! Everyday I regret trusting ELITE MOVERS. Our property was literally crushed and smashed into this much too small rental truck and ruined. We did not want our property rehandled and paid to have it stored in the original truck-forget it. I am just sick with the condition of our property and continue to discover damage. Live and learn & invest in mover insurance!!!! Your homeowner policy does not cover damage from movers. Elite covers 30 cents a pound-they can afford to trash your property. Get promises in writing on the contract, be smarter than us. Thankfully, I moved my glassware & china. I would skip even calling this mover if you value your property.
