I was looking for an affordable moving company (having just finished school and starting my first job- I couldn't afford to pay more than 1,000 dollars)
I was excited when I got my ECO movers quote because it was much more affordable than the other quotes I had been given. (FYI: I only needed to move a bedrooms worth of furniture... it was essentially 10 boxes, a desk, and a mattress)... Everything went smoothly at first- their headquarters was easy to contact and I received quick email responses. However, the actual move was AWFUL. To start, they were TWO hours late.
The person who picked up the boxes was RUDE, charged more than my quote, claiming my boxes were bigger than I had described... they also charged me for a mattress cover (despite saying that would be free), packing materials, and more for gas than the original quote.
They called the wrong phone number and I ended up getting my things four days later than intended!
The truck that delivered the boxes was THREE HOURS LATE. The truck was disgusting and water had leaked over a lot of the boxes! When the delivery men came, they tried to charge 100 more dollars claiming the storage unit was too far from the delivery. (Carts and moving supplies had been set up FOR THEM)... and they were still claiming they needed MORE MONEY. It was absolutely ridiculous.
When customer service was contacted, they were completely UNHELPFUL and at times, were also short with their responses.
DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT use this company to move your things! IT IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY
