Though this moved occured in May 2010, the tragedy of the whole situation has been on my mind ever since. The initial quote was $900 and the final price was at least $1000 more. The driver was late picking up by one day XXXand arrived in a truck that didn't have the company's name on it, forcing me to use my camera phone to take a picture of the license plates. The driver berated his helper so much that the helper just walked out and left, with the driver alone taking twice the time to load. There was also a few hundred dollar extra charge for the distance that the haulers had to carry things into the new place. Several things, including a vacuum and who knows what were missing. A headboard was damaged, beyond repair. When things were picked up, they were tagged and the associated number put on a document. But no one bothered to check anything in and with so many boxes the haulers were unwilling to stay around while we checked in the things ourselves.
I'd never, ever use these people for anything. It was probably the sleeziest transaction I've ever made.
