The last time I moved across the country the moving company broke the dining table top and that cost me about $350 but they only offered $32 as compensation for the damages incurred. I was mad to say the least. When your things are being transported across the country it's normal to expect some damages and it's acceptable as long as the company is willing to take responsibility for it. When I used Direct Van Lines services the representative told me I had insurance coverage included, a mirror came back cracked and they actually sent their inspectors over and took care of the compensation within two weeks. I will definitely do business with them in the future.
