Mover beware:
While most of the reviews on the site show a positive outcome, mine and several others have been horrid. Several others have had the exact experience I have and it appears had no resolution. So, should anything go wrong, you're on your own.
First let me say, my estimator David and the foreman's I dealt with did a great job. The movers themselves were all very courteous, however my items were very damaged when they arrived. My problem has been with their corporate office/ dispatch center and the owner/ manager Mike and Natalie.
I did all my homework in researching my moving company: went to the websites, reviewd their license #'s, read the reviews, I felt comfortable with my choice. I moved from Northern California to Southern California, and my plan was to drive to So Cal immediatly following pick up. My items were quoted and promised in 1-3 business days. The ended up arriving 5 business days later! Not to mention, on a holiday weekend. When I tried to call the office to find out where the heck my stuff was, no one was there because everyone took off for the weekend.
They also completly overcharged me. Their policy requires you to pay the final 25% on site in cash or money order. Shortly before they delivered they informed me of my total, which had inflated charges. So when the foreman showed up he asked for that amount. I had to pay what he was asking, otherwise I would not recieve my items. And there was no way for me to stop payment.
I have let them know of my grievances, and they have not responded. I estimate they owe me roughly $250. My next step is file a complaint with the BBB and take them to small claims court. I canot express how truly frustrating this whole experience has been.
