Moving van arrived on the last day of "window". Mover was to pack housefold goods, driver was not aware. Boxes and packing were "used" materials. Mover did not any forms or documents - choice was to leave the goods and reschedule or move without documents. Van line did not honor quote. Goods went to NY from TN, to an intermediate stop in GA before final destination. Goods unloaded and loaded at least three times. Over 50% of goods were damaged in some manner. There were some missing items. Mover out sources claim service. You will be required to provide photos of goods, get a written estimate of damage of a repair agency, etc. If your insurance is on a weight basis; it will cost you more to satisfy the claim requirements than the value of the claim. This process used by the mover and the claim service is likely "legal". Highly recommended using another moving company.
