I would warn future customers to read the fine print and ALL the information. I signed a contract with David & Goliath Movers. looking at their web page they would show you how awesome their trucks look like. I gave an estimate of about 54 Items out of the 54 items there were about 20 boxes I put a lot of stuff in the boxes. We hardly have any furniture, we had no appliances. The 54 items grew from 54 pcs. to 98 pcs.The Quote I was given was $1,800. total cost. We had a date from them to pick up and they called and wanted to arrive a little early we said ok. then we got another call saying they wanted to come the next day, we said ok. We had to really hustle to get our furniture packed. The movers showed up with a dingy white over size box truck. I don't recall seeing any signs or words on the truck. All I know is I signed the contract with David & Goliath not with this company Big Boy moving & Storage.David used their fine print in the contract saying they can use another moving company, later I asked Connie from the David & Goliath movers and she said that Big Boy Moving & Storage Co. was a partner or a subsidiarie of David & Goliath I felt a little hesitant at first but I said ok. After the truck was loaded he had the paperwork that he gave me from Big Boy. He told me the price of the move was for $1,800. I paid it with a credit card, and then he said it was going to cost me another 1,800. when they arrived at my house I was extremely upset when they got there which was late it took them 11 day's to get there. I had to come up with the cash only before they unloaded I was furies they. I told them I didn't have the cash and they were getting ready to leave, I had to beg them to take part of it by credit card. My desk was damaged at one of the corners and I had certain other items but could not come up with any receipts. However my hard drive computer was not on the truck, it was wrapped up in one of the boxes with my wifes bathrobe, my mistake was I marked the box what I had in it I marked all my boxes. I put a claim in for it. I thought I was all set it cost me $600.00 and it was one year old I had all my paperwork on it where I bought and all that. Ok so when I got the paper to file the claim which was about 8 pages long . I started to fill it out and then I saw that because I didn't check out the box with a somewhat different value I can't imagine how much extra that would of cost.I filled out another option which was FREE. They were going to pay me about .30 cents WOW which is .06 a lb my computer weights about 5 lbs.. I know for sure it was stolen in those 11 day's that they had our furniture. DO NOT TRUST DAVID & GOLIATH. I'm 70 years old with 3 heart attacks one was a triple by-pass and I was extremely stressed out I almost lost it I was so upset. I'm still very upset I have to pay 30% interest on my credit cards and a long way from being normal again.
