WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!

I experienced 2 major issues when dealing with this company; 1) the company never showed up on the day they promised to move our things which resulted in both my husband and I having to take a day off from work and 2) the company lied to me with regards to their fees and charges. 1) I was promised a moving time between 1 and 3 pm on a sunday. At 1:30pm the driver called to let me know that he and his crew had only just arrived at their first job of the day and that they would not make it to our place until at the earlist around 5:30 pm. We called the company to complain about this and was promised that the movers would be at our place between 3 and 5 pm at the lastest. By 5 pm the movers was still not at our place nor had the driver called to tell us when they were leaving the first job. Called the driver and was promised to be called back by a manager with a new time for the move. By 8 pm I had not heard back from anyone and no one (neither the driver nor anyone at the company) was picking up the phone to inform us of when the movers would arrive. By 8:30 pm an employee at the company finally picked up and told us that they may be able to have a truck and crew at our place by 10 pm (but there was no garantie). This was not an option for us as we have quiet hours after 10 pm where we were living. So then he offered to have the movers come Monday morning between 7 and 7:30 am. The movers did not show up until 8:30am Monday morning - thus once again they were late! 2) The sales person who gave me the quote for the move promised me that the company would not charge anything extra except for the usage of boxes provided by the company. Other than that, I was to be charged $90/h for 3 persons + double driving time only!!! And I even asked specificly about all the fees that I could be charged - the answer was - "we have no hidden fees or charges, we only charge you extra if you have to use our boxes". When I got the invoice, it contained the following charges: 4h x $90 7 x packing material (total of $132) - The movers only used 2 boxes of their own!! 9% in fuel charge The moving company have a very slick routine to trick the customer into paying what they want them to pay; payment is due upon arrival at the destination but before the goods are unloaded. But when payment is due, they cannot produce an invoice yet as the move is not yet done. So they ask the customer to just pay an amount without being able to validate the charges. When confronted with the additional packing charges and with the fact that I was not told upfront about the fuel charges, the manager I talked to at the company could not explain to me how the word "boxes" all of a sudden also covered plastic wrapping for matresses and on top of that I was informed during one conversation that the company does not charge for fuel and during the next conversation they do. I gave up on talking to this person when he turned very rude over the phone. All I can say about Continental Express moving company is that they do not show up on the scheduled time/day nor are the honest when it comes to the cost of the move. I will never recommend this company to anyone!!!
