I moved within New Jersey 3 days ago. After getting repeated calls from the co. and a reasonable quote (not a lowest one) I zeroed in o them.
Come Sunday, day of our move and they came in almost 5 hrs late without any information/call. Supposed to come in by 10am and the freight elevator was booked at destination for 12-3 and comcast booked for 3-6. Movers came in after 2!! Totally unapologetic and within 30 mins of coming they asked for huge tips. I had done the packing myself already but had few loose packs so they dumped in those in 2 two big boxes saying they are doing me a favor by giving it for free (quote already said 2 wardrobe boxes + 5 dish boxes free). They took 2 hrs to load and little over an hour to reach the destination. We were in our car but got stuck in NY traffic, it being sunday evening. They literally dumped our stuff on the floor, broke several pieces of furniture, and subtly threatened us. The quote was for less than ~$400 and they asked for more than $900 + huge tips. It was almost 10 in night so we gave the CC when they wanted cash/check. After talking to the apartment and CC people we cancelled the card and the guys have been calling us continuously. Then they turn up at our front door late evening a day later asking to be let in!!!!!!. We had to call the police and we are still trying to sort it out. We are not going to keep what is justifiably theirs but are not ready to be ripped off either. Please be beware of this company, I hope I had read the reviews earlier.
