I never give companies bad reviews because most of the companies I have worked with value customer service, however from my personal experience Colonial Van Lines is not one of them. If I can save even one person/family from the horrible experience that I endured with this company by posting this truthful review then I will be happy. From lost wages on my job, to last minute airplane fares this company literally has been my living nightmare. I was promised 6 different delivery dates within a weeks time. I was repeatedly given false information by James and other Colonial Van Lines representatives. Initially when it was time to pay my deposit I couldn't get them to leave me alone, but after most of my furniture was finally delivered severely damaged (after 6 different promised dates) the responses that I have received have been limited, and James continue to give me false information whenever he do return my calls. As a single mother of 2 it was disheartening to see everything I've worked so hard for me and my children to be damaged to the extent where some pieces can't even be repaired or used and then to have a company that couldn't care less because they are not going home to a house full of damaged furniture. I can literally write a novel on my experience with Colonial Van Lines but I have wasted enough time and money on this company, I would just like to warn anybody even if you're trying to move your furniture a couple of blocks DO NOT use this company, it will cause you a lot of pain & unnecessary stress. Please read the other reviews and you will see that you will be better off putting your furniture on your back and moving it yourself. I will continue to research and pursue how I can get this company to be held liable for all of my damages and troubles that I have endured. A group of individuals who have witnessed first hand my experience with Colonial Van Lines are also gathering to get something done about this company and their dishonesty, poor quality of services, and misleading promises.
