Colonial Van Lines

I have nothing good to say about colonial van lines or A plus moving. ( the contractors that colonial used). It started when my scheduled pick up was changes with les than 24 hours notice. It went from a Friday to a Sunday. Then when the movers finally showed up there were only 2 of them. In addition, it took them over 8 hours to load our house. The reason it took so long because they did not bring a big enough vehicle. The movers tried blaming me for the truck not being big enough. I found this to be insulting since I was under my forecasted weight.
The next issue was both movers took several smoking breaks inside our garage and in the van with all of our stuff. All of my 7 month old child's clothes smell like smoke even after being washed.
Since the truck was not big enough they had to strap 2 king mattress and box springs to the back of the truck. ( I was informed by the movers and my contact that this was standard practice.
Next after all of our house was loaded the movers informed me I would have to pay the balance to them in cash. This was the first time I was informed of this.
Upon delivery the movers continued to smoke wile moving our furniture and boxes. In addition they damaged several pieces of furniture and dropped 4 boxes that I saw. When I pointed out the damage the movers argued with me about how and when the damage occurred.
I short never used colonial van lines or A plus movers. ( I have used united van lines in the past and I will never use anyone else but them. )
