I will never use this moving company again they initially told me my move would be about $2800. So I paid half up front which was $1400 and I would pay the rest upon delivery. Well the point of contact from colonial told me that from the inventory we did that it would probably wind up being less. They changed the move date twicwe and when they finally came to move the household goods the truck broke down five hours away. We could not get in touch with anyone from the company to find out what was going on. So finally they found another agent and came to move everything. When we were told the final weight it was twice as much as what colonial estimated it to be. So not only did we pay colonial $1400 we had to pay the movers which was a different company $ 2600. So instead of $2800 I shelled out $4000 which was way over budget for me. So if you are looking for a moving company make sure they are the ones moving your things. I was never told by colonial that it would be a different moving company so basically I paid them for something I could have done with some research of my own for free! Lastly I do have to day the company who actually did the move was a lot better than colonial. Bottom line please do extensive research before choosing a moving company.
