NEVER use this company!!! They created a total moving NIGHTMARE for myself and my family !!! They are totally unprofessional and incompetent.
The driver (Tony Medina) was the WORST with his extremely bad attitude, unprofessionalism, disrespectful, rude, and argumentativeness at both pickup and delivery. He even bragged about his PRISON time, was completely careless with our stuff, constantly complaining, and even wanted us to get him cigarettes. The packing that they did was so poorly done, they did not use the proper packing materials, that LOTS of items were damaged. They took items that were already packed from my drawers to use as packing materials and box fillers, like my panties/clothes, our great-grandmothers’ handmade heirloom quilt, and a designer tuxedo. They were so extremely slow. At delivery things were worse by being late and stuff was not secured in the back of the truck. Our classic show Corvette was badly scratched and dented when they took stuff out of our garage, furniture was either not reassembled or done incorrectly, our new homes’ walls were also badly damaged. This is just an overview of the troubles that we've had with Colonial Van Lines, and their customer service is no better!
I have already contacted the company in an effort to resolve the situation. I was told to file a claim for just the damages and they would "process it," but I am not optimistic. If you have any other questions I will be happy to discuss this will any potential customers.
