My original move order was placed with Colonial Van Lines. I had no idea that they then broker the packing/shipping to another party. In my case, B&B Transportation. They arrived on time to pack my contents. They said my household good would arrive in a week. I had a guarantee delivery date, which was not met. I firmly believe they "pad" the materials they use to increase the charge versus the quote. I packed all of my own clothes in space saver bags. They took the clothes and put them in cardboard boxes with a ton of tape. When they provided the weight of the goods they said I was 1.000 pounds over the estimate.
I shipped less items than the estimate...so the math just doesn't add up.
When we arrived home, we had our stuff and someone elses stuff. They left all of the blue packing blankets as well.
Still trying to get them to come back and pick up the household goods that aren't ours and someone out there is missing.
Colonial Van Lines is very quick to answer the phone when you want a quote or are placing your order. In fact they were very re-assuring. I have moved across country 4 times and have never had a worse experience.
After your goods are picked up, heaven help you if you need customer service. Long hold times, repeated requests for a claim form, not pleasant at all.
Avoid them and B&B Transportaiton
