made the horrible mistake of choosing this company
I had a very short time to move and I chose this company because I had a pleasant conversation with their sale representative who assured me that "due to new management" any old reviews I had read online were not representative of their current practices.
I guess old habits die hard, because without a doubt, Certified Relocations has been the worst moving company I have ever dealt with.
the estimate completely doubled when they came to get my things and though they charged me so much more, in no way did I get any kind of respect or service for my money.
Their sales rep kept giving me false information about when my items would arrive, but even so, she always assured me that the mover would notify me of their arrival "24 to 48 hours" before they arrived. The mover TEXTED me at midnight to say they would arrive "in the morning" so I had no time to notify my work or prepare for them to arrive.
And to add insult to an already tense situation, once they started unloading my things, the parade of damage to my items was inexcusable. My four poster bed is highly nicked and cracked, as is my dresser, which goes well with the huge hole in the back of my armoire. I have no dining room chairs anymore because one wasnt on the truck and the other had its leg broken off. There are shoe prints on my furniture where people must have stood on them. My sofa has a hole in the bottom. I have no lamps because two didnt show up and the other two were honestly torn apart, "to collapse them", (these were not collapsable lamps). My family art was broken, everything smelled like mold and the movers couldnt assemble the furniture they "disassembled" in the first place.
What is worse, when I called to complain, I was told by their sales rep that they would send me info on filing a claim and that the owner, James, would call me to discuss the matter. Neither thing has happened. James has not called me and nothing has been sent to me so I can file a claim.
This is a company of liars
Not only that, but their sales manager actually told me to "smoke a joint" to try to calm down from all this.
I have never been so appalled by the actions, customer interactions, or lack of service from a company.
