The initial part of the move went fine, the movers picked up the furniture on the day promised. However delivery was an entirely different issue. The mover who dropped of my furniture lost the nails and screws required to put my bed together. When I asked him what could be done, he stated that it was out of his hands. I was told to call dispatch if I had any problems. Since the move began, I had not been able to get in touch with dispatch. I have requested call backs and have yet to hear from them. In addition the driver called me prior to delivery to tell me that I needed to go buy a UHAUL truck for him to deliver my furniture, because he wasn't sure if he could fit the truck even though he had never seen the drop off location himself. He also charged me an additional 225 dollars because he said the distance to the door was greater than the 50 feet allowed. I measured the distance and it came out to 125 feet total. In addition to this I helped him to move the furniture because he was alone, despite this he still managed to drag my bed through the grass and damage the bottom. I emailed Patricia, left a message on the answering service of the company, and called dispatch. It has now been three weeks and I have heard nothing from the company. Also of note the total delivery time from time of pickup was 17 days.
I had initially been quoted 1074. Once the moving truck was packed, I was quoted 1304. The total was an additional 225 because of the delivery driver. When I told him I shouldn't be charged extra he threatened to leave with my furniture and stated I would be charged by the moving company for failure of delivery.
I advise that anyone considering using this company contact myself or others who have used these movers. I am extremely lenient when it comes to moving, but this was definitely the worst service I have yet experienced.
